X6 Servo Posts

Just in the process of finishing my son's X6 for him to hopefully race this Friday but when i've attached the servo to the posts the posts don't want to sit in as the servo is fouling on the front part of the chassis  is this a design fault and is it dremel time  or am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
your guess is right, you have grind out some material with a dremel in this areas to make some space for your servo.

I assume this is an original X - 6. Before doing anything I suggest you check the two tech tips about servo mounting here:

With some servos a bit of grinding is necessary to get full throw. We don't know of anybody who weakened a car enough doing this to cause breakage. That said, check frequently to be certain you take away no more material than is necessary. Most drivers need to Dremel on just one side.

This problem was solved on the Squared, and we know of nobody who has found Dremelling necessary in this area on a Squared.

Thanks chaps for the help, yes Chazz it's an original X6 chasis, if he breaks it i'll treat him to a squared :-)

The original 6 will do him just fine. It's a great car still. We designed the Squared to perform exactly as the 6, so there's very little difference. Some say the original 6 with 4-Gear is faster...
