ZX5 SP Conversion - No more!?!?!?!

I have heard back today that Kyosho are no longer doing the SP conversion kit - It was about £65.00

They are now selling the components of this kit separately and it will set you back a staggering £120.00

jonathan challenor 28-05-2008 05:01 PM

THATS SHOCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was going to buy that kit but now forget it.

dave p hall 28-05-2008 05:19 PM

Does that include the shocks?

Darren Boyle 28-05-2008 06:45 PM

We still have an SP conversion kit in stock, although I dont know where you got your pricing from, since they were £99.99 Uk (we sold them at £79.95)

Jez 28-05-2008 10:32 PM

looks like i was a bit cheap at 75 quid.thanks david p hall.

Darren Boyle 28-05-2008 10:51 PM

You were indeed (nice price) I used to be a bit cheaper when I was mobile too.

Benh 28-05-2008 10:57 PM

I ordered from Microtechracing.com

15182https://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gif10027955https://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gif22-05-2008https://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gifCancel SOhttps://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gif1https://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gifKYOSHO CONVERSION SET LAZER ZX5SPhttps://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gif£64.59https://secure1.cyranehosting.net/mi...ages/clear.gif£64.59

It went on to back order as soon as ordered. As soon as they got the news from Kyosho they gave me a call. After sobbing into an empty wallet for 15minutes I went to the second stage "anger" then "acceptance" then "paid", now just waiting for the parts. IT HAD BETTER BE GOOD!

Darren Boyle 28-05-2008 11:06 PM

That is a great price!! Puts DMS and Model Torque to shame, but hey we cant all be cheapest all of the time, and we do all have special offers from time to time. Just hope Kevin and Keith have it in stock for you, I am sure they will.

It was part LAW35 and then bought the additional triple shock caps. I hope it goes well.

You said you ordered from Microtech, which is run by Keith and owned by Kevin.

DC is run by Dom

Jeremy, I did not mean that you did not have premises in what I said

BenH, so if it was not available did you buy it in seperate bits then or am I missing somthing?? (It must be getting late)

There were pics of a BJ4/B44/D4 styled production car at the Shizuoka show...might explain why they're ditching the SP conversion kits?

sosidge 29-05-2008 10:02 AM

Perhaps there is a little confusion here about which SP kit people are talking about? LAW34 (the original kit for the rear end) would have retailed around £65, LAW35 (the new front end etc) would be the £100 or whatever was mentioned one.

Personally I would be quite pleased to see the back of these upgrade kits - LAW34 was OK - but adding LAW35 was a bit much - even if you buy them all you still don't end up with a "real" SP.

Whereabouts is your real shop? Always good to know of racers shops in the North East.

I was talking about LAW35 not the rear conversion. It's all sorted now though. The guys at DMS are sending the one they had left in stock. Many thanks DMS!!!

Although that now means that they are rarer than rocking horse $&@!
