ESC wire for 2wd/4wd buggy

Hi all,

im after a bit of advice regarding motor and power wires for my sons 2wd and 4wd buggies.

he has an reventon R speed passion esc which comes with 14awg wires which seems thinner than his old lrp esc wires.

So my question is what wire is better 12awg or 14awg

motor wise will be speed passion 6.5,7.5 and 10.5

Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

thanks in advance

Jodie

They may seem thinner due to the thickness of the insulation.

I run 12guage power wires and 14guage speedo to motor wires with no problems.

12 is thicker than 14 - obviously. For 2wd with those motors, either is perfectly fine. LRP ESC's come with 2.5mm squared wire, which is probably in the 13AWG region if you were to try and convert it to that measuring system.

I'm running 14AWG in a heavy 4wd (410) and a 6.5T motor with no problems. Except i can't drive
