cougar sv what size pinion to use
 

hi all,

just putting the electrics and motor in my cougar sv and was just wondering what size pinion gear to use ( ball park figure)
it is fitted with an 81 spur gear and a speed passion 7.5t motor,
any help would be great, cheers rob.

I run a 23/82 mate if that's any help

Speed Passion recommend anything between 7.5:1 and 9:1 for that motor.
With an 81 tooth spur your options are:
24/81 = 8.8:1
25/81 = 8.4:1
26/81 = 8.1:1

Assuming you have a standard gearbox...
