Nosram istc v2 capacitor problem
 

I need a replacement power capcitor for
a nosram istc version 2 however cant seem to find one
I want a lrp/ nosram part really as i want to keep it under waranty
Any help greatly apreciated

It's just a standard electrolytic capacitor with black heat shrink on it, you are looking for a 4700uf 16v electrolytic capacitor.

Not 100% sure if that's the same one that's fitted from new or not.

£19 you must be mad to buy that just because it comes in a Nosram packet.

In fairness, the one I linked to is I'm fairly sure the newer "3 pack" capacitors rather than the single one.

You're absolutely right, it is a lot of money, and personally I'm not sure i'd buy it!! That said, if you want an original spec Nosram one, then this is the one for you.

I also wouldn't advise replacing is with something on the cheap from E-bay, unless you are sure you know the spec of what Nosram use. I know what they used to use 5 years or so ago, but I don't know if they still use the same.

Demon power products has a replacment
For the single capcitor speedos a pc1 capcitor it looks
Alright a the bloke said at surrey and hants theres a few that use them on lrp speedos if all else fails its 19 quid on a three series capcitor

I used the Demon one on my Nosram - works fine

If you are willing to pay £19.00 for one I'll make you one with 3 capacitors 330uf in series for £18.00
