thinking of getting a 22
 

i am thinking of getting a 22 but i am not sure if my electrics will fit in
i have a

savox low profile servo
hobbywing 120a v2 speedo
spektrum receiver and lrp saddle packs

also is there any upgrades i should buy

fits. but depends on where you want to put it. speedo in front behind the servo and RX over the motor.

If you run midmotor you can use everything you want.

This car has so many electronic mouting options... just buy one! :)

Between mid and rear i have probably rewired my car a dozen times... finding new and creative ways of installing gear.. :)

I've recently got a 22, running mid motor. First thing to get is a 'cream' weight:)

I wouldnt get a Losi 22. The B4 is the better budget car.
If I was wanting a better car than the Losi the durango is worlds better.
The people that run the 22's here dont keep the car very long.
The suspension is good, the A-arms are strong, but the car is loose.
Not many drivers have found the sweet spot for the car yet.:yawn:
The 22 stadium Truck or 22 Corr truck is much, much better I heard.:p

I have two one for dirt in rear motor and one in mid for turf for electronics install no problem there is allot of possibility but if you run mid motor they hare very twitchee on turf in mid configuration I don’t rely like it I would go whit a 210 Durango motor position is way better.

Totally agree. I had my 22 for four months. Now I've got rid of it was sick of it in the end just never felt dialled had a go of someone's rb6 (which was insanely good) and now I'm building it :-D. avoid the 22. Also I hear the cougar sv2 is a great car for the money too

All those electronics should fit in with a little patience and consideration of layout. I run an Orion R10, micro Spektrum receiver and Spektrum 6070 Low profile servo and ive managed to squeeze it all in behind the servo and infront of the saddle battery pack.

There are arguments for and against buying a 22, but if you do choose to get one please post up any set help you may need and myself and Gnarly Old Dog will do our best to help you out. My set ups for Astro and Carpet are already floating around in other threads that might be a useful starting point.

Thanks I have one now which I bought off Chris Evison I only really race at Southport and his car is dialed for there but thanks for the offer and if I need any help in the future I will post here

in post one you asked about upgrades, for club racing I think you will be fine with the car as kit apart from poss some blue front springs as some prefer them in mid set up...others don't. also if running mid some form of weight set from cream or TLR.

from there on it depends on your level of bling requirement:D

As for some of the above posts I did run a B4 from 2007 untill the release of the 22,my 22 was one of the 1st batch, I ran it for 12months but could never quite find the sweet spot for me so changed to an RB5 vega, but thats me some car's just don't work for some people. I will say this tho I think the 22 is better than the B4 for the following reasons, for the CLUB racer
A) It's a stronger car especially at the front end
B) The choice of rear or mid is all in the box, no after market convo needed
C) given that you have the above choice it a great price

Both my kids run 22's and they drive hard and fast ( and scarily well at times) and at the min I would have no intention of looking at them running any other car.

as for fitting electrics, like many modern cars at the min it can test your patience a bit,but you can get there in the end!

There are some very knowledgeable losi drivers on here to give good sound advice without looking down their nose at you or making themselves look better at your cost

Well I struggled a bit with the shocks which were making the car loose but now I love it. Which suspension parts are you talking about?

If you run the car rear motor you should get propper diff balls als the AE diff screw and the looser or ings for the shocks.
Maybe the 5 deg caster block and the 3 deg or 3.5 deg LRC part, longer screws for the ball studscrew on the caster block, winder wheel base rear
Midmotor there are a few more parts that make sence, look at the bloomfield set up, Springs front black or blue and rear red, 3.5 HRC.
Take a look at the tlr page and decide what you might want Diff mod for rear motor and springs for midmotor are the must haves

That's just what ive been told by others that run the car at the track.
The car is great dont get confused here and I imagine it can be drove
harder than a B4 car. If I had one id more that likely be running it mid motor
on a high bite clay track where you could run ghosted slicks.
