thinking of trying a vega b4.1 gen2

running a centro at the moment, seems a great car.
what advantages does the vega have?
what additional parts will i need when changing over?

cheers

I haven't ran a Centro before so can't comment. PM Danny McGee as he has ran both at a high level and should be able to give you some feedback.

As for swapping components over, all you'll need to buy is the Vega conversion and your good to go!

You could buy new idlers/diff gear in so you have a fresh gearbox on the new car but not essential.

guess its a case of personal preference, looks alot stronger than my centro tho

is the chassis quite tough as well? also what shell are u runnig?

Yes the chassis seems strong, no problems to report here, lots of Vegas in the SE region and heard no issues with bent chassis.

I use the kit shell but you can adapt others to fit, take a look on show me your vega thread for some pics.

Would love to have one of these but alas haven't got £200 yet

What's the length of the new chassis, v2?

With the recent B4.1 being 8mm longer, how does the vega stack up? I would imagine that with the recent release of the BB springs, I expect that a B4.2 is coming since they just updated the B44.2 with some updates.

Thinking about investing in a vega to experiment with, given that the 4.1 has gotten longer, does the vega match or is it shorter and how does that change handling? Are most running in turf or do people race on clay? I'd be racing primarily on high traction clay, so I'd need a good setup.
