Cat SX rear wide track conversion kit
The wide track modication gives the CAT SX2 or CAT SX3 better stability in corners and over bumps.
The modification increases cornering potential. Care must be taken when using some tyres which hang excessively over the edge of the wheels as the car width may be too wide for some organisations rules. http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/New_Ca...SX3/U4114.html http://www.racing-cars.com/images/u4114_w.jpg |
The SV2/SVR kit will follow this I would of thought

Good spot, interesting... My standard car only just fitted the box at the regionals (fitted with mini pins)

Svr is wider too
|
I'm currently building an sx3 and got told by a Schumacher driver to fit this. He said that fitting this and the new Ackerman plate inproves the car.
|
yet si moss does not run it as of yet..
|
Well I guess it doesn't suit everyone then
|
Grant Williams who won the Belgium GP won with this mod on. He really felt it locked the rear end in and didn't loose steering.
|
I don't run it only because my 4wd has been really good this year and I don't want to upset the status quo. It may be something I look at again over the winter during testing but I haven't decided yet.
I do run the wider track width on my cougar tho and like that so as I say, I may take a look. Si |

Are these the same length as sv2 rear shaft lengths as cannot read the length engraved on them ?
|
Yes there the same as the sv2 driveshafts
|
Just added Wide Track Rear Conversion to my car SX3.
What is right setup with U3517 Alloy Block Suspension parts to get same pin line and effect as with plastic parts. How many spacers and where? |
This is interesting. Think i might do this along with the ackerman mod...
|
anyone got any experience of this mod (or the ackerman steering mod) now its been out a while? im interested in doing either/both
cheers |
