Cat SX rear wide track conversion kit

The wide track modication gives the CAT SX2 or CAT SX3 better stability in corners and over bumps.
The modification increases cornering potential.
Care must be taken when using some tyres which hang excessively over the edge of the wheels as the car width may be too wide for some organisations rules.

The SV2 is about as wide as is permitted already.

The text does say tyre dependant weather it will be legal.

Svr is wider too

johnboy 21-09-2012 03:42 PM

I'm currently building an sx3 and got told by a Schumacher driver to fit this. He said that fitting this and the new Ackerman plate inproves the car.

mark christopher 21-09-2012 04:08 PM

yet si moss does not run it as of yet..

johnboy 21-09-2012 04:19 PM

Well I guess it doesn't suit everyone then

Grant Williams who won the Belgium GP won with this mod on. He really felt it locked the rear end in and didn't loose steering.

Mossy 22-09-2012 06:31 AM

I don't run it only because my 4wd has been really good this year and I don't want to upset the status quo. It may be something I look at again over the winter during testing but I haven't decided yet.

I do run the wider track width on my cougar tho and like that so as I say, I may take a look.

Si

Si

Will that come out as an option for the SV2?

spud31 23-09-2012 07:28 PM

Are these the same length as sv2 rear shaft lengths as cannot read the length engraved on them ?

matdodd 23-09-2012 08:34 PM

Yes there the same as the sv2 driveshafts

Just added Wide Track Rear Conversion to my car SX3.

What is right setup with U3517 Alloy Block Suspension parts to get same pin line and effect as with plastic parts. How many spacers and where?

Shaun_TLR 16-10-2012 09:06 AM

This is interesting. Think i might do this along with the ackerman mod...

Shaun_TLR 08-04-2013 06:53 PM

anyone got any experience of this mod (or the ackerman steering mod) now its been out a while? im interested in doing either/both

cheers
