Schumacher have announced the availability and BRCA legality of this new 6-turn Delta wind motor from GM. The winding makes this motor more like a 3 turn standard (wye wind) motor - the Delta winding providing greater efficiency and longer run times than a comparable 3 turn normal brushless motor. An attractive price rounds things off nicely.

Description
Lightweight: only around 165 g
Reasonably priced
Extra-thick multiple windings
Sintered neodymium magnets
Sensors conforming with IFMAR / EFRA / DMC rules
BRCA, EFRA and DMC legal
High-performance free-running ball bearings
Sensorless running possible with some speed controllers

I tried a 3,5 turn Orion in my X-6, and it worked great. With 4 cells though... :)

Tried it also with 5 cells, and to my surprise it was very driveable. With 6 cells it's way overpowered of course... didn't even bother to try that...
