Sensorless or Sensored?
 

I have been looking at the Losi Brushless systems and wondered what people thought between the sensored and sensorless? It would be used in a buggy for 4 min indoor heats. Any help much appreciated.

The New Xcelorin Sensored units are now in stock too as well as the the Sensorless versions

The sensorless ones have been really good at our club for "club" racers and now the sensored are here too to aim at the more seroius racers and they are a bargain at just £114.95 for ESC and Motor combo!!!!

Definately Sensored for off road. Far more feed back for the driver, plus you will NEVER get that horrible cogging that you sometimes get with sensorless.

I'm down track level and I head terrible cogging ALL the time from sensored systems. Whether its wet, or a problem with a wire or any other reason I don't know - but its very distinct. Heck, even Helliwells car was doing it at Oswestry.

But surely that is cos you got water in the sensor wire and stopped it from working as a sensored system? Dunno, maybe it's just your particular brand that has problems Jim

i run mm5700 in a zx-5 sp and never have any cogging issues, also keep up with all the guys that have there lrp and novak 6.5.

Why not buy the Speed Passion or Tekin where you have both options -however the tekin has the option of if water affects the sensor system it will automatically revert to sensorless without any issues, so you can do either sensored or sensorless. however Craig knows his stuff so best to take his advice on this stuff.

the wet affects all systems the same when running sensored.... a lot of systems will also run sensorless but will have the initial start problems.

The Tekin RS can run either but by default is a Hybrid system, Sensored to start and sensorless once shifting along.

Not sure this follows the lymeric rules..
