C4.1 rear hubs.

Do you have to swop the hubs round on the c4.1 as in left on right, right on left?

I built my c4.1 on friday, and yes I swapped them round so the L hub runs on the right and the R hub on the left side. This seems the standard thing to do.

I'm running 0.0 hubs, so there is no effect on toe in when hubs are swapped.

Whats the reasons for swapping them around? I know we used to do it on the X6 to straighten the turnbuckles up but dont see the need to do it on a C4.1 as it all looks in line using them on the correct sides.

because you swop the A Arms opposite sides from the B4 to the C4.1 the hub sits very close to the wheel,as where the ball stud fits it is off centre to the hub, thus giving alot more clearance

Hope this helps

I run the alloy hubs, with avid carbon tops. When assembling mine, noticed I'd have to swap the ball studs to the other side of the carbon top, which then means the rod end will foul the alloy hub at the extremities of travel. swapping left to right sorted it out, and as i'm on 0.0 deg hubs, has no effect on toe-in.
I also read some setup sheets and noted that others had done it too.
