Updating HW prog box to work with HPI Flux Pro
 

I've bought an HPI Flux speedo but because the HPI programming box was out of stock I got the HW one. When I plug it into the HPI software it just sits there saying "Connecting PC" and won't allow me to update the software on the programming box. Is there a way to do it?

If hb have locked it to their own box as speed passion all you can do it buy the correct box. If they have not then you need to go online and programs your box to the earlier then v3 software, then connect your Speedo google cpd racing and read their hobbywing set up thread.

I know this is for a hobbywing esc but it will give you an Idea on how it the box works

yep ive got the same problem... the hobbywing box will allow connection via pc/usb to change settings but if you use it to connect to the speedo on its own it just says ( need to update software) so the software / hardware on the program box needs to be changed but i cant seem to do this.... (oh and my hobbywing box has speedpasion software on it ) ... any help would be great....

sorted now .... i had to install earlier firmware versions before it would accept the v3 firmware ..... :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I had a similar problem with mine as a mate gave me his SpeedPassion to update. Down graded my box to the earlier software and it now picks up all my Hobbywing , Bullistorm and Speed Passion esc`s without being plugged into the pc. Just check the software you want on the pc program and bingo all working.
