Liquid mask issue
 

Hey chaps,

Noticed with my last bottle of RCS mask that successive coats seem to shrink/craze, leaving a 'lizard skin' type pattern, rather than a nice smooth film. Unlikely to be a problem as the previous coats have given impervious coverage.

Any ideas? I've not seen it happen before. The mask has been sprayed on, then left to air dry outside. Could it be direct sunlight that's causing the issue? Or am I not leaving the previous coat long enough to dry fully?

I have had this happen but it was my fault i was applying too thick then i tried to force dry the mask and i had the same results as you ,i have learned from this and now apply with paint brush for 3-4 coats and its never happened again and i allways leave to dry au natural ,:thumbsup:

Yep, can happen when applied slightly on the thick side/force dried.
Does not effect the performance though.
