Hi all just wondering what the pros And Cons of running a speedo with And without capacitors?

Most speedo manufactures specify them to deal with ripple currents and surges in power draw from lipo as you trigger the throttle. It basically smooths out the input so the FET's in the speedo have an easier time. It can also therefore help with cooling/over heating problems.
I've run without when I broke a lead at a meeting, with no noticeable effect, but I replaced it after the meeting. I found the cap banks with wire leads better in that respect, as you can mount them securely without any stain on the solid wire leads. The leads directly into the solid cap package eventually break on directly soldered caps to speedo posts.
The hobbywing 2 cap or 4 cap packages are good. The orion 2 cap ones are the same as hobby wing, but more than 3x the price. The only difference being a plastic holder round the base.
