Slipper Slackening off Mid Race

Anyone else had a problem with this, my cars still pretty much new (5 meetings) and this has happened a couple of times.

Anyone else had similar experiences and can suggest a remedy?

My B4's actually always been spot on

Nevermind, i read it as diff :lol:

check the O ring is still intact and that you havnt split it.
the one inside the big blue washer type thing ..

My atomized b44 did that when new, changed the oring wraggy mentioned for a new one and that sorted it:D:thumbsup:

I've checked my rubber ring and its in perfect condition..:eh?:

have you put too much lube on it james:o:blush:, try cleaning the threads with motor cleaner too

i know this might sound like a silly question , but you have got the right O-ring in havnt you ???
there are 2 in the pack and are a different size.
1 is the slipper nut o-ring and the other is the slipper cup drive o-ring
which sits over the the drive cup on the other end of the slipper to hold the centre pin in place ..

Thanks Paul, yeah its the correct o-ring.
For now i've just threadlocked the blue nut thingy in place and will try that at the weekend see what happens..

Have you rubbed down the pads if it's been slipping a lot?

Out of habit from building the B4/T4 diffs, I "broke-in" (compressed a few times) the slipper spring on my B44 before installing it. The length of the slipper spring shortened substantially compared to the "unbroken-in" condition. As far as I had felt, the slipper on my B44 had worked consistently after tightening it to my liking.

That's what I did as well. I think the slipper spring needs to be fully compressed and then released for it to work consistently as a spring, otherwise I think it will just gradually shorten and loosen the slipper.
