low profile servo speeds
have been looking for a quick lowprofile servo but can only find 3, 2 from futaba and one from ko. all 3 of these are quoted at 0.10 ish but i normally use a 2123 which is quoted at 0.06, does anyone know of a low profile servo that is quicker than 0.10 at all ???

can make quite a difference if the rear starts to break away, you can struggle to catch it with a slower servo. plus you just get used to the reactions of a certain servo.

on track for me it makes a hell of a difference hence wanting a quicker one

Nathan, I used to be Mr I love a fast servo and always ran 2123's
but I have changed over to the fast Associated XP 6v servo and they are rated slightly slower than the 2123 but I run a bigger servo horn to get the speed back up. as Borat would say, I am having great success |
nice idea chris i have some longer horns (dont even comment :woot: ) so will give that a try

Nath,
I was/am in the same position a couple of months back. Haggis now runs the small KO and says he can't tell any difference and is very happy with it. Come the revolution I'm getting the KO for both cars. |
Nate, when you ran my car at the eos finals, that had the ko lo pro in it.
I find it pretty good, although some do prefer the futaba. Strobe on here is selling two quite cheap. |
also Nathan, the very latest Nosram/LRP speedos have a 6v BEC, earlier ones had 5.5v.
so its worth a try again because they would be faster than they would have been last time you tried them |
cool thanks lads i will relook then and try one again as soon as the bank manager lets me :woot:

As Dan says, I have been through a few different digital full size servos over the last 18 months, from HiTec to Sanwa and KO's ranging from 0.12 to 0.08.
My 2143 KOs in both cars feel as quick and torquie (is that a word :bored:) as any of the full size servos. One thing I have noticed is that the 2143 seem to react quicker, I have actually turned down my steering curve :o:lol: |
I think the gearing on the 2413 is such that it's initial movement is greater than a "std" full fat servo. I have tried them myself.
