and as part of my job I've driven the full size versions which have the equivalent of 204bhp which is 'interesting in a front wheel drive car with SO much weight over the rear axle!

Don't know what chassis the RC version is based on but it looks to be 1/4 or 1/5 scale.

both mcd and fg make a 1/5th scale new mini

Seen them now. All THREE of them. Saw one pootling across the field as it wasnt going very fast s had a Javelin sticking out of it. Bigger than i`d expected to 5th scale i`d say.

they use them to fetch the javelins and shamelessly plug mini's

1/5 scale BMW mini - does that make them about the same size as the original mini? :lol:

Bet the wheels are bigger and go quicker:woot:

There's a bit of controversy about these at the games, apparently the olympics are supposed to be advert free however the mini Is so well recognised that there are a few people not happy about it, probably as this Is the version made by BMW and not the iconic early mini!
I just think that it's a great idea to use them! Wonder if there's any well known drivers driving them??!

Cool, bet you wanted to get down there and show em how its done and they not using 2.4gig,:o whats wrong with them? Keep up with the times

They are being driven by school boys from 2 London public schools.
