Can i get some views on these models please?

hey guys...been looking around still in search of my brushless 4wd buggy...

if anyone can tell me about build quality, reliability and optional parts/replacement parts availability for these models

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-...products/38751

http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml...tId=0000006089

and obviously the Losi Mini Eight...

i know its quite a few choices and they are all pretty different, i am just after something to bash about with with mates nothing competitive at all!

which one would you guys recommend for speed and overall durability?

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

From experience I can comment on two of these which are the mini revo and the mini 8ight.

I love them both but for what you have described I would suggest the mini 8ight might be a pain. Have a look around the internet and you will see that there are several things that make this car not a basher!

The Merv has it's issues too but these can be overcome with a central diff and some better springs. I actually have a mate looking to sell one, shall I ask him to message you?

ah man! as i was actually leaning towards the Losi!

what are ansmann & FTX like?

availability of spare parts etc

The ftx is a 1/10th. If your willing to pay that money for a new 1, I'd recommend finding a decent second hand buggy. You would get a much better quality car.

I had a mini 8ight but it was easy to break without spending a tonne on hop up parts.

does that mean the FTX are not that great in terms of quality?

the FTX is coming in at around £180??

They are not great in terms of quality in the same way that Tesco Value chocolate is not great when compared to Guilian...

Sent you a pm about Revo. Not the sorta thing you wanted to be buying if you want to race, but is a dam good giggle if you just want to act the hooligan as they're rapid and yet bulletproof!

I didn't think Guilian was that great.

Try Leonidas, Galler or Neuhaus.

Now THAT'S chocolate :woot:
