Dry Track Speed with zx5 fs2 SP
Hi All
Not sure whether to post this here or in general. However as i have only had the problem since running the Kyosho i thought i would start here :) Basically since switching to the K i am a lot more consistent  I am also pretty quick (by my standards) in the wet and much better that when i was driving my durango. Problem is on the dry, again i am very consistent and car handles fine, however i am not that quick. As an example at the mid south regional at torch yesterday the timed practice was dry and i managed 11 laps in 324 seconds. We then had a massive downpour, the track was soaked and i managed 11 laps in 322 seconds! I am running Kevs setup from stotfold pretty much, but i dont have the carbon top deck. I also run 30g of brass down the spine. I just feel in the dry i haven't quite switched the car on yet if that makes sense? I wondered if anyone else had similar issues and what they did to help with it. Cheers Dave |

The "problem" is the FS2 has loads or rear-end grip. I had the same problem when I first drove it, then the setups improved.
Make sure you use the same setup as Kev Lee or Tony Evdoka, every washer counts. Add special attention to antiquat shims and camber washers :) A carbon top deck helps to make the car more responsive, but I think that LAW43 rear arms are a must-have. |
Cheers, I have the top deck so will give that a go
