Futaba 3GR FS40mhz problem

Hi there I have a Futaba 3GRFS 40mhz and a Futaba R103F receiver and I have a (40.675 RA; CH51) cystal I know how to change the frequency settings on the tx but it will not work and respond to the receiver, Do I need another crystal? I could really do with a manual but I can only find 2.4ghz versions. Is there anyone out there that could help.

I've just got out the manual.

Press 'SEL' while turning it on and 'SEL' to select the correct function.

Then, use '+' to select the disired frequency.

Cycle the power to store the settings and check it has been stored.

Just had a look online and it says the R103F is a 27mhz receiver not a 40mhz one. Perhaps this is your problem. I may be wrong about this as I've only ever used 2.4ghz stuff since I got back into the hobby.

Hi all I sorted it now without a manual, I was putting the frequency setting in the controller, as the model name and the model name as the frequency. It was a 40mhz receiver thanks, Ive never owned a programable controller so im just getting use to it.
