xx-4 Belts

Hi guys,

What are the best belts to use these days. Iv heard there has been a couple of 'stronger ones' made by independent manufactures. Wheres best place to buy new belts from. I have seen some on ebay but they are from Korea and you never know how genuine these adverts are.

Any tips? I know to change belts and pulleys at the same time for longer life.

Got one coming this week! Looking forward to being back in the xx4 club

I have ordered some of those tough racing belts to go with my new pulley set :p

Also, for those running on astro/carpet: put a shorty lipo up one side of the car, as close to the motor as you can and put all the electrics on the other side. You can get rid of the 70g in the front belt housing now.

I have thought about putting a shorty in down the side BUT if it was so much better why don't the Losi team do it, especially Darren. At Robin Hood he was using conventional set up and as far as I know does the same everywhere.

I don't know the "belt module" of the XX4 belts... 3M or S3M for rear and 2M or S2M for front ?...but there are manufacturers of belts like "GATES" for 2/3M module and "BANDO" for S3M/S2M module...

When the XX4 was released ... some drivers have found "rear rubber belts" (with kevlar I think)...it was GATES belts I think...I'm not sure.

But find a belt supplier is quite easy...out of the original belts difficult to find today.
