1-cell motor in lee martin's car. Why?

Hi i noticed Lee Martin used a 1-cell 5.5t motor in his 2wd.
What's the benefits from 1-cell vs 2-cell motor?:confused:http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/2012n...e/OOP_0350.jpg

'The re-designed motor includes a new motor slator to specifically help with the low voltage demands of the 1 cell lipo battery.
Smoother power delivery is now available right through the power band to enable great top speed and run time.'

The Kv rating is 5,900 on the 1c version as opposed to 6,100 on the normal version which has the red rotor - the don't say which rotor is in the 1c.

He has probably gone for the smoother power delivery over the outright grunt.

back in the 6 cell day's drivers used to use 5 cell's on brushed motors to do the same on clay ;)

apparently the 5.5 1cell is in between a 5.5 and 6.5 2cell motor. Sort of like a 6.0 :)
