use grease on diff gears on b44

Does any body use diff grease on there gears in the diff.or are they made of something that does not need to be greased.Seems like a waxy white stuff on the inside to the casing.just can not seem to find anything about it in the manual.

Some people run them dry, some use white grease. I actually use black grease.

Hello

i used to put normal FT silicon grease but found that outside somehow the dust and sand get in the diff and destroy them. Use black grease and after a few meetings use more shims to get the perfect alignement for the diff and yes you have to clean them very often to have good diffs.

silicon grease is NOT made to reduce friction, so silicone grease is only for shocks (because of its consistency) and diff balls (to conduct heat and flush out very small particle from abrasion) !!!
For gears almost any other grease is fine. I would recommand a viscous molybdenum grease or a teflon grease. Dont put too much in it you just need a tiny amount.

It wil probably be the diff grease spraying off and your yellow gears wearing.
Nothing to worry about I'd say

I use a tiny amount of anti wear teflon grease if the gears are airtight. Nothing if Its open in any kind of way. Just to reduce the wear when posible
