Micro Racing Kent / South East

Hi Chaps - I currently race 1/10th scale but have been blown away by the speed and compactness of some of the micro cars I have seen on interweb. Does any one know of anywhere they are raced in or near kent at all - would love to invest in a car but not much point if I can't race it! If so what would people recommend - seems there are a few popular options at the moment!?
cheers

Losi Mini 8
Carisma GT14b
LRP Shark

There your choices for the only decent cars for racing ( i actually have a LWB LRP Shark for sale ;) )

Also the only perm micro track i know down south is Wycombe but alot of places will run a grid if you can get 5 drivers for a heat

Craig, I'v done a bit of micro racing and nothing in our region I'm afraid.

Shame as they are a great laugh and provide some good racing.

Losi 8 or the Carisma are both great cars and have won nationals between them, as the others have said check out the UK micro rc forum for load of info and the forsale section

Maybe we should start a heat at Fav then!? :)

Yes we (Me and Goldy RC18B2, LRP Shark) used to bring them along for a blast round in practice, they go ok with yellow mini spikes on but quite tricky to drive due to the low grip conditions.

Trying to get the numbers together maybe tricky at Fav........

I ran white rally blocks in faversham, which gave more grip than the minispikes. Faversham was really good for my shark unless they put out the matted section they do on a corner, too big for a micro! I found that because the car is smaller it was easier to drive around there because it made the track bigger and you had more room. Edd had a go and as you would expect was very fast.

I am in Coulsdon and used to race micro's very regularly (for many years at Wycombe). Wycombe is a fantastic, permanent indoor track but it's on the wrong side of London. Would love a track somewhere in Kent/Surrey to race my Losi Mini 8's.

I might go to Surrey & Hants next Thursday for some practice if the weather holds up.

I am hoping that we would be able to race them at Maritime's new off road track when that gets going. I have considered starting a micro club, might start looking into a bit more.

Hey Mark, has anyone spoke to Faversham club about running a heat of micro's?? As I do like the losi mini 8ight's. But if I can't race it locally no point?? Don't want to waste loads of money on 10th buggies at moment.
