Hi Kyosho freaks ;)

I just finished with the restoration of a Kyosho Optima Mid Custom.
The car is rebuild with many new genuine kyosho parts and almost in new condition. I hope you can enjoy the build.

Wow! Your restore turned out being absolutely stunning. Great inspiration for me who is starting on the same project very soon. Looks like it's built from a newly opened box. Shining like a gem stone mate. Awesome!! :wub

Just realized one thing. You are using an OT-96 Rear Plate (L) but the stock part was OT-114 Rear Plate (L). That part you are using is for the first Optima Mid (the only car you haven't restored yet?) :)

You have also made an upgrade to ball diffs?

Cheers

You are totally right my friend! apparently I mixed up the two rear plates. Problem solved  thanks for noticing:thumbsup:
I reserved OT-96 for my last restoration project, indeed the optima mid.;)

Its an easy enough mistake to make with the rear plates as its quite odd that the original Mid has aluminium strut towers and that plate is FRP and then the custom has FRP strut towers and that plate is aluminium, ditto for the SE.

You would think all the plates would be made of matching material

My Optima Mid thread will spring into life very shortly (maybe today)......got a real gem, perfect OT-66's, perfect wheels, Futaba MC-112B, perfect bumper, perfect box with perfect manual too!

EDIT: Right now in fact :)

Wow that looks amazing

How did you find the quality of the Marwan belt covers, I wasn't sure how they would look clear but they look OK on the buggy

Sadly not yet, I have had time off work but I have been spending some time on my other project I had sent you a pic of.

I have continued collecting parts and designing the custom parts for the modified Mid project which still needs a name

When I am back at work I will start chipping away at the RC Cars in the evenings
