I had many chats with Jimmy about the idea of having a Forum on his little buggy website when we raced together at Batley.
oOple as a website for Jimmy's buggies existed for some years before he added the forum.

When the forum went live, I'm pretty sure I was one of a handful of people that joined - not sure if I was the first - but I was there at the very beginning :)

Who would have guessed it would grow to what is it today !

Never knew about this place until recently, ( Feb 2011 ) joined up, best forum I've ever been on, genuinely helpful people with good advice and friendly banter, exactly what you want a forum to be !

How long has the forum been active? As I was visiting here for purely photos long before a forum went live. Back then it was DoughtyUK.net.

I think myself and Andys joined within the first week (Oct 05), but the website was around for several years before the forum came along.

Prior to this was some crazy stuff with an out of tune TV....... You still got that Jimmy??

I remember the Sunday before i joined Jimmy had been to Bury Metro and he was taking pictures, I think he also had a review car, maybe an old predator ?????

He told me this was the place to come and view his stuff. :thumbsup:

I joined in 1998, before the website existed :thumbsup:
We made up oOple quite randomly and never imagined it would become an r/c website. That happened a few years later when Jimmy's newfound photography hobby was combined with his childhood r/c interest and it all sort of happened from there. Here's hoping we can continue to improve and develop the site as it continues to grow. And thanks to everyone who has supported oOple over the years :)
