Captive thrust ball replacement
 

When there are 6 balls are in a captive thrust race how are you replacing the balls ?

Do you just pop them out and pop the new ones into the existing holding washer?

Or are you throwing the captive race away and just put 7 balls between the the 2 thrust washers ?

replace with the same
or chuck it and add 7 loose ones
