Rental car(s) for first timers

Was having a clear out today and have almost two full mad rat kits that I will not use again. At one point the club was discussing having a car of two to loan out to first timers.
Can someone from the committee let me know if they are of use as they are free to the club? I have the original low powered motors that came with them. Would only need an old radio set and speedo to have one working car and an almost complete set of spares.

Let me know

Rog has a few such items we are collecting. Personally I reckon a Madrat would be a great addition as its a typical beginner car.
If the club doesn't want it I know of a few other potential homes.

Batteries/Charging

We have an Ansmann 4wd (New, almost, only used once indoors, still in its box) and an Acadamy 4wd someone donated but both need some decent batteries like Lipos that don't need to be discharged after running and stuff like that.
I've been hanging on waiting for our electricity before buying a/some charger/s and batteries. I don't want to risk the PC falling over while we run on the generator.

Chris,

Your offer is most kind and accepted without question by the club. I agree with Simon, a madrat is ideal for visitors to have a go with at the track.

As Roger says, once we have electricity in the cabins, we can purchase the necessary chargers, lipo's etc to get the cars we have on the track. A 2wd madrat will compliment the couple of 4wd we already have.

I've got a few packs of lipos that work fine but aren't up to high discharge rates anymore I'll donate. Should be fine in with basic motors.

But we'll need a cutoff of some sort or they'll get killed first time out.
