colour change paints

I was wondering what would be the effect of backing Fastrax Chameleon Jade with white instead of the usual black?

It's very subtle, the change isn't as dramatic either. Black or a dark colour shows it off really well, essentially though these paints are just a chameleon type pearl in a carrier, while wet the carrier looks white but it dries clear ( a bit like PVA glue ), so all you're left with is the pearl.

If you want to use this as you've said I'd highly recommend doing some tests on scrap lexan to see what can be achieved.

My mate did it ages ago and got a pearlescent white. Wasnt to my liking as just looked white til the sun showed the pearl

How about chameleon jade then fluorescent orange?

Alternatively, what's a nice rattle can metallic orange?

It's for a Kyosho Shoot bodyshell.

The chameleon will kill the nature of the Fluorescent but it will look very unique, as I said before the only way to test how these effects come out is to test them.

Sorry don't use rattle cans so can't recommend. Go to your local shop and choose a colour from the lid. Orange's tend to have a gold pearl in them which looks cool in the sun.

Tamiya do a translucent Orange PS43 which you could back with a Champagne Gold Anodised Aluminium PS52 for a very cool effect.
