Lube identity quiz.

I have these in my toolbox and I don't know what they are all suitable for except the diff lube.
Can you help?

Starting from the top please.

They are all diff lubes, except maybe the MIP one, if it is black, that is thrust race or driveshaft.

Two are assoitiated silcone lube for gears and stuff one is assioated diff lube one is mip black stuff and the other is losi silcone grease

So the Losi & silicone grease is for moving parts but not diff balls and the MIP, if black, is for thrust bearings?

I've a sneaky feeling you'll find that MIP stuff to be red. It was a driveshaft joint grease wasn't it?

It would seem I'm going to have to squeeze the life out of the diff lube as I have a diff to build and I was hoping the others would be diff lube.

silicone is not a lubricant, so thier all diff lube bar the mip

Ok, cool, so I actually have plenty of ball diff lube!!
I'll use the bottom one, loads in that.

Thank you.

the white losi lube and the red mip lube is for thrust races
the others are all diff lubes
hope this helps

So I can use them instead of AE black grease on the thrust bearings?

BeachBuggyPhil 27-06-2012 09:23 PM

I have some of this as well.....

...and it doesn't mention ball diff anywhere so I'm assuming this is for gear diffs where you aren't using various diff oils.

Thanks everyone.
