Anyone gone back to the ball diff after the geared diff?

If so how did you find the change going back to the ball diff? Thanks

Yep, I'm running the ball diff in the 210 again. Ran the gear diff indoors over the winter and it was great, ran it outdoors on Astro (Coventry and Broxtowe) with mixed results. If the grip is high, the gear diff works well for me.

Overall the ball diff give a better balance for me on grass and astro, I find it makes the car feel lighter and more nimble.

A racing buddy ran my gear diff at a grass meeting a few weeks back after his ball diff imploded and was irreparable trackside. His car looked a lot looser than it had earlier in the day and he did struggle to get the power down when the track had worn.

However, for high-grip carpet (i.e. indoor racing) I think I'll be starting with the gear diff again.

Geared diff lasted a meeting for me. It doesn't suit my driving style so back to the ball diff.

i have not give up the geardiff, i started the season with ball. switched now early in may. tryed 700 oil but it felt no good, 5000-7000 feel alot better, closer to balldiff in action. i agree that the car is smoother with balls..
