Round 4 - Telstar Racing - Towcester

Booking in is now open for Round 4 on the 15th July

http://www.ukshortcourse.com/entry.html

This is a change in venue and surface from Holbeach.

We're going old school and bringing the trucks to some real grass.

Apologies to those that had already made accommodation plans for the Holbeach round but the change is beyond either the series or Holbeach clubs control.

The venue fact sheet will also be available in the next few days on the web site

Cheers

Chris

I need to consider whether to book a hotel or travel very early Sunday. I will be able to make this decision when I know if Saturday practice will be available.

Fact sheet please.

No practice on Saturday??... Well I'm gonna be a bit blurry eyed on Sunday morning then gonna be a 4am start for me....(groan)...

Frecklychimp 03-07-2012 03:32 PM

Agree there shouldn't be any practice on a grass track as they do wear unlike boring astro...

But camping should be available bearing in mind it's a national series and some of us will have a few hours of driving to and from event.

It's not like there has been a lot of notice with this one for getting cheap hotel deals either!

TonyM 03-07-2012 04:03 PM

I think it will be a 4:00 ish start from Southport for me.

quincey 03-07-2012 04:38 PM

I'm sure we could sneek 30 or so drivers into 1 room at the local travelodge...that's about £2 each!..,

Frecklychimp 03-07-2012 04:48 PM

There must be something on in area that weekend as everything seems either booked up or £100+ a night!

British F1 is weekend before which is probably the reason,

4am start it is

Maybe Telstar can reconsider their camping option?

Hi Guys,

We should be able to arrange on site camping, the landlord charges £5 per tent per night. If there's enough people wanting to camp then I'll get it arranged.

quincey 04-07-2012 09:19 PM

New speedo, servo and car bought for this meeting so it looks like I'm camping in someone's garden because I'm now skint....
