Faskolor or Createx??? What do you prefer

As the title suggests what do you use and why do you like it? I ask because I have always used faskolor but fancy trying Createx paints as the colours look move vibrant and from what I hear there slightly thinner in use

I look forward to hearing your thoughts

From a reasonably armature/hobby painter I started out using faskolor, you always think the other brand is going to be better so I tried some createx , TBH I don't really notice much of a difference really!

I have however stuck with the createx as I get most of my stuff from Jon miller who stocks a very good selection, along with chrome, stencils, liquid mask ect so best to get it from one place

Interesting Question tho, It will be interesting to see what others say....

Same thing just about. I believe Createx make the paint for Faskolor.

(do not take that as gospel though..)

Agreed, I believe they are made in the same factory using different formulas, either way they both work well, I use createx as its readily available (as stated before Jon stocks it) so its nice and simple to order along with liquid mask etc.

They have different colours but i think the base is the same.

createx, faskolor auto air, all same stuff just slight different colours

+1 wot 'e said. Although I do notice slight differences in finish. Auto Air tend to dry very granular, Createx a bit more 'waxy'. Perhaps slight differences in base.

Who knows, it's all good!

Couldn't comment on ut as not just not used it, have. Ever even heard of it !

I'm useing both , and don't see any difference , most are createx from John

Using up my old stock of faskolor, have bought nothing but createx (and RCS specialist finishes) for a good while now. Don't notice any difference, but createx is available in larger quantities and service from Jon @ RCS is superb.

sidawson 20-06-2012 07:49 AM

so in short most are using createx as its easy to get with other items like mask from RCS. Fair enough looks like i will need to send an order th RCS then

Thanks everyone who replied

Guys out of interest what liquid mask are you all using and if i can ask why do you like it?

DCM 20-06-2012 08:04 AM

I use Jons liquid mask, spreads well, dries good, easy to cut and easy to purchase.
