X6 TOOLS

HI again guys !!
Once again confused !! :( when I purchased my X6 it didn't come with any tools at all !!! After spending £25 on some they were clearly the wrong ones :-(( ...

None fitted any of the wheels nuts , or screws / bolts ...
Anybody know where or what ones I need as its a bit of a pain ..
Thanks
Craig

You've bought metric ones then ie, 1.5mm, 2mm etc. As the fittings are all American (the Associated RC10 that the X6 uses as its donor is a US product as is the X6 of course) they are imperial ie, 4/40, 8/32, 2/56 etc. You could buy expensive Associated or Losi branded stuff. Dont know if EDS do imperial tools but they have a good write up. On the other hand I have had a set of cheapy Dynamite branded hex drivers and Allen drivers I picked up in 2007 and they are still going strong now. You should be able to get them from any of the usual suspects, DMS, JE Spares etc.

I have a Dynamite set and and they are lasting very well,I keep a pin in my toolbox so if you want to undo a screw on the underside put the pin in the head first and give it a wiggle about, this will get any mud/rubbish out and let your driver go in all the way,if you dont the smaller sizes especially will "round off".

I'd recommend a cheap Dynamite set plus quality hex drivers for the smaller sizes ( .050” and 1/16”) to avoid stripping small screws.
