Spektrum SR3500 micor Rx & MRT low profile transponder help

Hi

I've bought said 2 items and the RX is installed and working a treat in my car. However, last night I went to simply plug in the MRT PT and found it doesn't fit. This could be because I am ham fisted but it appears there is a spline on the edge of the PT's connector.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so did you just cut away the spline or does it just not fit with the Spektrum Rx at all? If so which brand did you use and I'll see if Apex will swap the PT out for me.

Many thanks

Chris

It is a Futaba connector and has the added 'fin' which is not present on the Spektrum connectors.

Just trim off the 'fin' with a stanley/craft blade and it will fit fine.

Thanks - I assume that this "tampering" doesn't affect legitimacy of the PT in the context of race regulations?

you can carefully cut a slot in the rx case, then you wont plug it in backawards...:o
