410 v3 spur/pinion noise :/
 
no matter what i try i have a loud clunking noise coming from pinion/spur, im running rw 85 spur and rw 22 pinion, anyone else have this problem or know how to sort it out?

Dozens of post/ threads about this,
I have found that if you changed the motor boot to a 2.5mm cap head the bolt head can rub the spur, check that.

I had a lot of succsess by replaceing the "slipper clutch plate front".
It turned out that it was uneven.
The plate wasn't centert with the shaft the spur sits on. This created a lot of "wobbling mass" and therefore noise.
I just bought a new one and hopped for a good part.

Now my dex is just magrinally louder than some of the other cars. Im running the stock spur and a steel pignion

Check your centre diff motor mount mate I some how had torqued mine a bit and was very loud as your described. Have a real close look at your spur gear to see if there is any uneven wear signs
