Slipper question

Guys, I am a bit puzzled about slipper settings for these twin pad systems. I unsure how you guys set yours for high grip such as astro or carpet for 4wd. Some cars sound like they slip quite a bit at the start and some dont so basically need a simple setting so I get some slip to aviod ruining the gearbox from standstill yet traction and fractonal slip during the race. All advice is muchly appreciated. Thanks.

It was always a mistery to me to,I watched a vid of a kyosho driver doing it,i always do it this way now on my 2wd

turn the handset and car on,hold one wheel, put the handset on the other wheel, this stops them from turning, then give a short burst on the throttle, dont do it to often or to long, set it so the front pops up about an inch, then drops back down while still on power, this is a good starting point,
