Ansmann Mad Monkey Clear Body
 

Hi its that time again i need a new body to a mad monkey chassis with windows masks as i dont have time to cut out any myself

get a proper chassis and proper shell :p

it's a rather unfortunate state of affairs, but Ansmann don't do a clear monkey shell - or at least if they do they don't import it to the UK. So far the only alternative is the one that Eric Wilcock does (concept racing) & they are very good.

Mine didn't have window masks, but hell only takes minutes with some tamiya masking tape

Can't you buy a "clear" shell for the X2C ? Alec Springer sent me one to paint for him, I'm pretty sure it was that. Contact him on here and ask if he can point you in the right direction ?

Monkey has a diffrent shape chassis

There will be a new shape and design monkey shell in the next few days,Steve is hoping to have it finished over the weekend,but it WONT come with window masks,

Get a Phat Bodies clear X6 shell. I know they fit as its one i got on mine. Just need to cut a little bit out for the slipper nut and jobs a good un. Got mine cheap as he`s a mate so dunno how much they are.

i've seen the Phat bodies shell on a monkey & it looked like a right dogs breakfast, gaps on the underside where stones etc can get in & screw up the slipper / spur & the front half looked more flared as the chassis seems wider.

:confused: Fits mine ok. I think the gap your refering to is at the front underside, if so i just filled it with a bit of thin foam. Kept all the stones out of mine. Admitted its a bit close to the battery for me but as i already had it i stuck it on. Wasnt keen on the kit colours and wanted my colours. Would of prefered a clear shell to paint ,but hey ho

Do you have a painted up shell yet as stuck your shell on my watch list ready to see the finished one. If i like it i get one.
One question tho, Does it have enuf height at the sides to clear the battery? as the kit shell goes up where yours goes down
