Battery for Etronix Pulse EX3G Pro ET1010
I have one of these transmitters and have used old 1300 Nicads without real problems. I have a couple of times left it switched on for over an hour and sweated whether it would last the days racing. They did.
If you have a Lipo Charger then its worth getting a Lipo 3S battery. I spoke to someone who has one and he said he only needs to charge once a month despite racing every week. Hobbyking do Tunigy low drain 3S Lipo for transmitters Turnigy 2650mAh 3S 1C LLF Tx Pack (Futaba/JR) I bought one and works a treat takes about 10 days delivery ~£14 including delivery. also lighter than NiMh, No more worry about battery on the day  The Argos batteries should last a lot longer than 10 mins and you should not need to discharge them |
Sweet cheers il give them a try, granted the argos specials are about 2 years old.

If you need AA batteries, look for Sanyo Eneloops - they are the original low-self-discharge cell and they are blinkin' brilliant!
There are other low-self-discharge cells around but I can't comment on how well they perform compared to the Sanyos. |
TX Batterys
Would give a big up for going 3 cell Li-po, much better than AA rechargeables. Virtually no self discharge when not in use and seem to last for many weeks, 6+ with use every week at my local club night.

How do I charge tx lipo?
I think I'll get a tx lipo too...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1708489376...#ht_601wt_1110 My only question is how do I charge it from my Turnigy Accucel-6 which has 4mm tube connectors? Can I buy or make an adaptor? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turnigy-Ac...ht_1428wt_1110 Cheers |
Make an adapter simple and easy to do.
You can swap out the JST-XH plugs to deans or bullit ones or even crocodiles if you wnat |
Ok thanks... so battery lead No.2 goes in the 3S balance port on the charger and lead No.1 connects to the main power cables. What type of connector is that and where can I get some spare ones?

I use 2 to the balance post
THe unmarked one instead of 1 to the charge port Depending on what radio you have the 1 might just connect straight into the radio. I have a spektrum (LiFe 6.6V not lipo) and had to mod it a little so I added a female (unmarked) to mine Hobbyking have all the parts you need. I could send you a "servo extender" that you can cut and solder yourself or get one locally or get something like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...g/AM-5001A.jpg and something like this fi you don't take out the battery http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...MF-2S-20cm.jpg |
That's useful, thanks

Easier still, get this connector from eBay UK...
Item No. 330628766925 http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...aconnector.jpg |
The new battery fits nicely in my Code transmitter.
Here it is charging from my Turnigy Accucel-6 charger. I got the battery from ProFlight-UK and the adaptor from Black Smith products. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/IMG_3453.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/IMG_3454.jpg |
