anyone tried a 17T on RTR ESC?
 

Hi,

got my Lazer a couple of months ago and before i jump to BL wanted to try some faster motor to tune up my driving skills

so thinking about a 17t or 19t VENOM FIREBALL

searched the forum and some say the stock esc has a 17 limit but others say 15t

so anyone really tried a 17t in the Lazer?

The thing is pretty easy to rationalize.
If the vehicle comes with a stock motor, running anything hotter than that is taking a risk.
Sure people have run other motors with that esc, but are you willing to smoke it?

Simple rule of thumb to follow: Before ever upgrading one element of your vehicle (motor), make sure the corresponding element is upgraded (esc) so it can handle it.

Im sure the stock motor in a rtr is a 19 turn motor but im not sure if the speedo would have enough power to run a hotter motor IMO the venom motors are exsactly what you pay for there cheap to buy and they are cheap they are not fast and i dont meanthere slightly slower they are considerably slower would would be better off buying a good qualift 19t with a new speedo.
