Brushless 8th scale
 

Anybody have any idea or indication as to when Novak's 8th scale brushless kits will become available?

I'm currently doing a build diary for oOple for a brushless conversion of the Hong Nor X1CR, just waiting on a couple more parts from the US ..

It should be a good guide for conversion of any 8th buggy including what electrics and where to get them (majority are from the UK).

Jimmy will oOpleify the report and it'll be posted in the next few weeks..:)

Any questions PM me and i will try and pass on any info i have learnt so far...

as much as i enjoy electric i still think that the engine is one of the things that makes Rallycross so appealing :)
i know some people struggle a little with engines/clutches when they first start in 8th which can be very frustrating but when they're set up right they never really need any fiddling with. just fuel & go :thumbsup:
you just need to use a decent engine & decent fuel ;)

I think brushless 8th scale will be something special and a whole new world or racing. Combine that monster power with a set of A123 Lithium batteries and you have one of the best combinations ever! A123 cells recharge to full in 15 mins!!! Imagine that, you'll be driving more than you are charging!!! :woot: :woot: :woot:

Just been checking out some brushless truggy/buggy vids on you tube.

They do look ace.
Does anyone know the difference in weight between the two? is the nitro heavier than the electric?

Both are similar weight at the moment, i hope to have something up and running to use over the winter, i have checked with the guys at the Coventry track and they are happy for electric 1/8 to run with the nitros :D

weight depends on electric parts

If you run brushed and have 2 motors, one big esc, and 12 cells, nitro is lighter

If you have brushless and 4s lipo, it will be lighter than nitro
