Hi John sounds great. Really enjoyed Coventry last year. Not sure who's going down to broxstowe right enough.
Dave |
I definitely want to go Dave, I know Davy Hannah wants to go as well - other than that I'm not sure though
I t Might be thought Davie Hannah was going to F345 and not the Seniors. I could be wrong tho.
Would be good to get a few going down. |
Think I would like to go, I missed it last year. Southport is a good track would like another run on it.
Hold that thought , could be going here.
Not the 345's though as i will be hung by my nuts.
I am having a good think about doing Southport F3,4,5s.
Although it looks liek depending on numbers I might get into F2 finals despite being a F5.
If there is a contingent going to either then thats the one I would aim for. Whats the deal John if I wanted to do both 2WD and 4WD at either of these events but only competed in 2WD at Regional level. Can I try and enter or would it not be allowed? Suppose if needed could enter the remaining regionals in both classes? |
The way it normally work is that each region gets allocated 15 place which we never fill so I'd be pretty confident you would get into both
Cheers John, what about 4WD too even if I havent competed ?
Don't think that matters Dave but I'm sure John can tell you. Are you over 40 Dave? If not, you won't be able to do F2 event.
Cheeky monkeh, no I am not 40 yet, got a few yrs to go.
The way I interpreted the entry to the F2s on the info pack is that if a region doesnt take all their 15 slots then its opened to lower grades...........therefore in theory I could, but it depends how many from our region want to go. I might not go to either, just working out options at the moment. "British Formula 2 Championship: Ideally, the best drivers from each Region (excluding Formula 1 grade drivers) would compete for the British Formula 2 Championship (F2‟s), thus deciding the British Formula 2 Champion. This event is the logical next step on from your Regional events. If you have been the top F2 in your Region this is the opportunity to go National and try to beat all the other F2 competitors in the country? All entries from F2 drivers for this event will be given placement priority over entries from F3/4/5 drivers as they have their own dedicated event (F345‟s – see below). In reality, due to work, education or holiday commitments, we rarely get the all the best F2 drivers attending from each Region (i.e. the highest finishing F2‟s in the Regional series) so if you would like to take part, it is strongly recommended, even if you finished well down the Regional standings, that you submit the following Formula 2 entry form to your Regional Rep. You would be surprised the levels of success some Regional Reps. achieve in gaining places for their drivers at these competitions! " Quote:

Ah, didn't know that Dave. Tbh, I would rather do f345's but I'm a F2 this year. F345's last year was superb.
I am away from 'proper internet' at the moment, so struggling with bandwidth to read up on this till back in Broadband Land...
But assuming (a) a newbie is permited to attend the F345 in Southport, (b) I wouldn't be totally humiliated by driving gods from busier regions and (c) I had SORC companions... I'd be interested in entering. Will have a proper read when I'm no longer limited to a mobile phone! |
Jason you would be in as a F5 and you certainly wouldn't be humiliated. Go for it, you will love it.
I will be up for the F3,4 & 5's.
Just need to double check my work roster. Emma has given her permission! |
I've got a feeling you will be off for that month coz yer never at work Kenny.
