Ride Height

Currently running my B4.1 indoors on carpet with very few jumps with the standard kit shafts 0.80 front and 1.02 rear but the ride height particularly at the rear is extremely high approx 30 - 35 mm even with the collar wound to the top to lower the ride height is it simply a case of just changing the shafts to say 0.71 or 0.56 on the front and swapping the 1.02 rears the 0.80 which are currently on the front or do you also have to buy shorter shock bodies? A member of our club suggested cutting the springs down which i didn't really want to do.

It sounds like you are using very long and stiff springs, and as your clubmember suggested, probably too long, hence the cut them down a bit.

I wouldn't cut them down myself, rather look for shorter springs, because by cutting them down, you lose the endcoils which are designed to give you a proper fitting.

Which brand, size, thickness, etc of springs are you using? Might be springs designed for the trucks?!

The springs are blue which are quite soft but they are out of the buggy / truck rear spring pack.

Hi,

The blue springs are too hard.

Try the AE silver spring front and read. You should be able with the silvers get a ride height of 22mm or so front and rear.

For a carpet set-up try this: http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/pro...tinPetit09.pdf

on the b4.1 the rears springs sit on offset cups at the bottom if you buy the standard slim ones it will drop the ride height by the required amount friend of mine had the same problem and thats all it was. check that first before messing with spring settings.

Thanks for the advice.
