4wd Regional Ledbury :)

Just a bit of information here about ledbury for those who have not been down our way before. Its 4wd regional time :)

We will be running an astro track layout for this event and hoping to create something that everyone will enjoy.

Best tyre options is ballistic greens in the wet or yellow mini spike for dry weather, our astro is fairly high grip so am sure you will all enjoy it.

Anyone is welcome to camp the night before, just drop me a PM if you would like to camp.

Gates open from 7am.

Booking in at 8am

There is a water tap on the entrance to the farm by the main building if anyone needs to use this.

Any questions feel free to ask.

The track is also sign posted so you shouldnt have a problem finding us.

HarlowS 15-05-2012 04:49 PM

Going to help Nathen setup again tonight, will try to take some pictures of the surrounding area as I know some people didn't believe the lake in the next field could exist without it raining heavily over the days Nathen said it didn't (which was all true) .... I bet the lake is there tonight still even though it's been decent weather all week in this part of the world!

Gregors 16-05-2012 03:36 PM

Aint the lake always there aka as polly sheets lol

RogerM 17-05-2012 07:02 AM

Track done last night and it's going to be great fun to drive!

The ground is dry and dusty in the grass areas (but yes there is still a lake in the next field).

There are some showers forecast for Friday / Saturday but they will only serve to damp down the dust, certainly nothing to worry about.

A couple of pics from late wednesday night with the track all layed out.

Track looks good.

Pitside will be there. Got all the goods to see y'all through.

Just put of interest how grippy is the track in the dry? it looks crazy to me..

RogerM 19-05-2012 02:13 PM

Grip is quite consistent through all weather conditions, generally on the high side of good (expecting to see lots of rolls though as I think we have used ever section we could put adverse camber on ;) )

Smartalec 19-05-2012 02:35 PM

What's the water level like at the moment? Any standing water on the track? :)

neiloliver 19-05-2012 04:48 PM

Does anyone know if there will be food available?

Neil

RogerM 19-05-2012 05:08 PM

I asked about food but it's a NO I am afraid.

The people Ledbury normally use need notice and as the entry list is only published on a Wednesday evening that doesn't give enough time to confirm numbers, sorry.

I'm a short drive away and we've had no rain here ..... can't confirm if there has been any rain at the track but I can assure you that the 1 small shower we've had here would not have even damped down the dust in the grass areas.
