Tyre building service

Are there any shops out there that do tyre building?

I just seem unable to put schumacher staggered ribs on the front of my DEX 210 rims without making a complete pigs ear of it. I have no problem with the rears or fitting yellow mini pins up front.

cheers

I know of a guy that runs his staggereds unglued and have never seen one come off. ( He's a team driver too!) Try that maybe.

I've never glued mine and never lost one either, and 3 others at our club do the same

You can get away with running them un-glued on low grip tracks but on high grip they will come off the rims.

The trick is to only use a couple of small spots of glue to secure the tyre, pull the tyre up out of the wheel groove and put a spot of glue on the inside of the groove and then drop the tyre back down. It's very difficult to glue them all the way round like you would a rear tyre as they are a tight fit in the wheel groove.
