Good velcro?

Where can I buy online a roll of velcro with adhesive that does not come off?

(What I've managed to find so far just comes off...)

frogger 17-04-2008 10:46 PM

Not sure about online but B&Q and Halfords both do rolls of black (or white) Heavy Duty vecro. The stuff sticks like nothing you've ever seen.

The best stuff by far is the Velcro branded Velcro. But got to give the glue 24hrs once on so it can bond, after that it is pretty much never coming off.

What is the stuff actually called? As Velcro is a brand name which has become the general name regardless of brand.... hook & fuzz?

I bought a roll yesterday from fabric warehouse, it works great, tried some a while back, £3 per metre.

I got some great stuff from B&Q made by 3M, would stick you to the ceiling if you tried:thumbsup:

I like maplins, seems very strong velcro to me.

rcluke 18-04-2008 10:38 AM

i use the velcro tabs made by cellotape, they are quite cheap, and really sticky and strong.

they have never failed on me yet

I've had that problem once before, no idea why it did it. Not had it on any other cars.
