Kyosho Ultima Roll cage and bumper

1 Attachment(s)
Bought an original Ultima recently but it's missing the roll cage, including the metal roof part + wing mount and the front bumper (as in pic).

Were the original rear tyres OT-66?

Any advice sourcing the bits will be appreciated!

EDIT: Seems I need UM-16 (Body set) and UM-21 (Front Bumper).

Cheers,

Dan

Rear tyres are OT-66, good repros are made by Marwan

As for the roll cage, they are very hard to find these days, and don't expect them to be cheap. You can pick up a runner Ultima for less than a new roll cage. NIP bumpers were available on ebay recently, priced at £18 each, and they sold out fast. For a roll cage expect to pay £50+ for a NIP one, £20-25 for a used one in good condition.

Hi
How about a rebuild in the vain of the cars that came 2nd and 3rd in the Worlds - they seem to have used the traditional style Ultima chassis with Tomohawk body (which you can get through Kamtac)

Bit cheaper than the original roll cage!
There is some information here:

mr.ed: Are you running JRX2 steering hubs and a JRX-Pro SE front shock tower? It looks like you've got Andy's arms all around.

Mr Ed, love your Ultima, really looks the part, vintage, with a nu skool twist, love to see that.

Thanks guys,

The front tower is a jrx SE jammin jay something indeed: with the longer triumph front shocks.
The front arms are white andy's , correct.
The front axles carriers are the originals, but the axles themselves are team CRP: they allow me to use 5x11 or 5X10 bearings depending on the wheels of choice.
The white rear arms are radicator items from traxxas.
There's an associated stealth gearbox in the back with kyosho lazer CVD's to compensate for the narrower drivetrain outdrives.

At the time I ran it in this configuration I had lots of radio and servo troubles. With the frame style chassis it was difficult to exchange components with different sizes so: just too crammed. So I switched to a more accesible chassis type. Now it runs with a desert gator body.
