Cleaning bodyshells

What's the best way of removing the old sticky glue goo that gets left behind from removed race numbers, etc.? I don't want to go attacking it with any old solvent, 'cause knowing my luck i'll melt me bodyshell

Motor cleaner works ace, if you ever get any nasty old double sided tape on ur chasis you cant take off use motor cleaner and it comes off in seconds gets rid of any grease and its perfect for sticking down again after a 30 seconds or so.

tesco value furniture polish seems to work well at removing everything apart from the paint.

bigred5765 16-04-2008 11:55 PM

fairy power spray

I usually use either after shave (erm, I don't have any), perfume (not as good) or more commonly some deodorant like lynx (NOT anti persperant)

I have a couple of bottles of pure alcohol for cleaning camera stuff so I use those sometimes - whatevers got alcohol in it and is close to hand basically.

beer doesn't work, sorry!
