Looks like we have been targeted by the spammers. Multiple posts of advertising in threads all within the last few minutes.

Thank goodness for the 'delete as spam' button vBulletin added - makes life a lot easier. I've just deleted three spammers posts and banned them, quite a lot for one day :confused:
There's no way at all to let people register and stop spammers :bored: I get emailed every time someone registers and I try to look at their answer to the "what was your first RC car" question since this is something nearly all spammers get wrong (honda, bravia, ferrari, etc) - but there's so many people registering, I think it was 19 the other day when I checked, that I don't have the time to look through that many emails :(

just make it so new users can't post unless they have 3 posts...

He probably meant that new users should make 3 comments on other peoples threads before he was allowed to start a thread himself, could be wrong but thats the way it came across to me

Maybe we should set it up so we moderate peoples first few posts so none of the crap actually reaches the forum

It's hard. On RCR I use Stop Forum Spam website to check the names and e-mails of every new signee, but sometimes when I'm rushing and don't use, maybe cause everything looks legit etc, the odd one gets through.

We're all here to help one another, so as long as we do 'our job' and let the right people know as soon as something dodgy happens, we're still winning.
