HTC one X

Are they any good apart from needing a briefcase to fit them in:lol:

I'm using one to reply to you....

Yes, they are. Get used to having to use 2 hands though, that is the only downside I've found so far.

Screen is lovely, especially the sides, they fall away, so when you're swiping left or right, there's no material to catch your thumb on.. You'll see/feel what i mean when you have a play with one.

So much extra as well with ICE on. The only downside to that, Sky haven't configured it yet for Sky Go ! Grrr

Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Thanks for your reply, Ive heard they are the dogs danglelys, but the only thing whats putting me off is that they are the size of a sheet of 8 x 4. Does it fit in your pocket ok?

russmini 04-05-2012 12:40 PM

Yep, fits fine in any pocket I've put it in. In the shop and when you first get it feels/looks huge, but there's so many now around this size, that if you want a top end phone, you've got no choice.

Daz does not care about the galaxy note, SII or SIII.

The deal he's seen is for the one X.

Great phone, but best to try holding one in a shop first if you can. Thought it was too big for me as I need to be able to use it with one hand when at work, so went for the One S which is the same just slightly smaller. Size seems huge but they are so thin you don't notice them in your pocket. Camera hardware and software is brilliant, screens are great. HTC Media Link coming soon means it's easy to show anything on your phone screen on your TV, not cheap though but the phone should work with any DLNA adaptor.

The only downside is the lack of SD card slot as some people want to take a months worth of music with them, and you only have 26Gb of onboard memory you can use, but transferring files with the included 25Gb of Dropbox space or by wifi isn't a problem.

Thats correct dude, Tescos have them on offer at a good price. But me being a tight Yorshireman is going to stick with my trusty pay as you go wildfire lol.

Fools that think it's better than a I phone

Looked good to me, but the galaxy s3 just blew it away in specs wise. Check the screen on it too, there have been a fair few sent back with yellow tinges or dust under them. Good device though.

As said above, go hold one, there bigger than you think though

daz 07-05-2012 12:36 PM

You fail to understand, I dont want a Galaxy s3. Popped into Tescos the other day and saw the HTC one x at £27 a month which seemed like a good deal, just wanted to know if it was any good not that other phones are better. Only thing is I hate contracts prefer my Tesco pay as u go, £10 top up and they give u £20 free, lasts me about 2-3 months . Thanks for the advice tho.

MatJohnson 07-05-2012 07:48 PM

No worries. You could just buy the phone if you were feeling rich :-)
